Monthly Theme Verse
"But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." — 2 Peter 3:18
Monthly introduction
The Christian life is a journey of continual growth. God does not expect His children to remain spiritual infants. Through prayer, Bible study, obedience, trials, and daily surrender, He develops Christlike character in His people. This month we will focus on practical aspects of spiritual growth and how the Lord prepares His people for His kingdom.

June 1
“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." - Philippians 1:6
The Christian life begins with a miracle and continues by a miracle. When we come to Christ, He does not merely forgive our sins; He begins a work of transformation within us. Many become discouraged because they see faults still remaining in their character. They wonder why growth seems so slow.
Yet God never promised instant perfection. He promised faithful workmanship. The same God who begins the work is the One who completes it. Just as a gardener patiently tends a plant from seedling to maturity, Christ patiently develops His character in His followers. Growth often happens quietly. We may not notice daily changes, but through consistent prayer, Bible study, and obedience, the Spirit of God is shaping us. Every victory over temptation, every act of kindness, every step of faith is evidence of divine grace at work. Our responsibility is not to save ourselves but to cooperate with Christ. He supplies the power; we surrender the will. As we abide in Him, His work continues day by day until we reflect His image more fully.Am I trusting Christ to complete the work He has begun in me?
Lord, thank You for Your patience and faithfulness. Continue Your work in my heart and help me to cooperate with Your Spirit each day. Amen
June 2
"I am the vine, ye are the branches: he that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit." - John 15:5
Spiritual growth is impossible apart from Christ. A branch separated from the vine cannot produce fruit, no matter how hard it tries. Likewise, Christians cannot develop Christlike character through human effort alone.
Jesus invites us to abide in Him. To abide means to remain, dwell, and maintain a living connection with Him. This connection is strengthened through prayer, Bible study, and obedience. The more closely we remain united to Christ, the more His life flows through us.
Fruit is not produced by struggle but by connection. When the branch remains in the vine, fruit naturally appears. In the same way, love, joy, peace, patience, and other Christian virtues grow as Christ lives within us.
Many focus on the fruit while neglecting the relationship. Yet Jesus points us to the source. Our greatest need is not to try harder but to stay closer to Him.
Today, spend time with Christ. Open His Word. Speak to Him in prayer. Trust His promises. As you remain connected to Him, He will accomplish what you cannot do yourself.
How can I strengthen my daily connection with Christ?
Father, help me abide in Jesus today. May His life flow through me and bear fruit for Your glory. Amen.
June 3
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path." - Psalm 119:105
Growth in grace requires growth in the knowledge of God's Word. The Bible is heaven's guidebook for every believer. It reveals God's character, exposes sin, provides wisdom, and points us continually to Christ.
A lamp does not illuminate an entire journey at once. It gives enough light for the next step. Often we wish God would reveal every detail of the future, but He usually guides one step at a time through His Word.
When we neglect Scripture, spiritual weakness follows. Our minds become filled with worldly influences rather than divine truth. But when we consistently read and meditate upon God's Word, our thoughts are transformed.
The Bible is not merely information; it is spiritual nourishment. Just as physical food strengthens the body, Scripture strengthens the soul. Through its promises, warnings, instruction, and encouragement, God prepares His people for every circumstance.
Make God's Word a priority today. Read thoughtfully. Pray over what you read. Ask God to help you apply its teachings. The light that guided believers in past generations will guide you safely as well.
Am I feeding my soul daily through God's Word?
Lord, give me a deeper love for Scripture. Let Your Word guide my decisions and transform my character. Amen.
June 4
"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience."- James 1:2-3
Trials are not pleasant, yet God often uses them as instruments of growth. Just as gold is refined by fire, faith is strengthened through testing.
Many pray for stronger faith but resist the very experiences through which faith develops. Patience, endurance, and trust cannot mature without challenges. Difficulties reveal weaknesses that prosperity often conceals.
When trials come, we may be tempted to question God's love. Yet Scripture teaches that He works through every circumstance for our spiritual good. The trial itself may not be good, but God's purpose in it is.
Growth often occurs during seasons we would never choose for ourselves. Through hardship, we learn dependence upon God. We discover the reliability of His promises. We gain experience that equips us to encourage others.
Today, if you are facing difficulties, remember that God has not abandoned you. He is still working. Trust His wisdom even when you do not understand His methods. The faith that endures the trial will emerge stronger than before.
What trial might God be using to strengthen my faith today?
Father, help me trust You during trials. Teach me the lessons You desire me to learn and strengthen my faith. Amen.
June 5
"And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;" - Luke 18:1
Prayer is one of the greatest means by which we grow in grace. It is more than a duty; it is a privilege that allows us to commune with the King of heaven. Through prayer, we receive strength for temptation, wisdom for decisions, comfort in sorrow, and power to live the Christian life.
Jesus understood the importance of prayer. Though He was the Son of God, He spent much time in communion with His Father. If Christ needed prayer during His earthly ministry, how much more do we need it today?
Many Christians become discouraged because they do not immediately receive the answers they seek. Yet Jesus taught that we should always pray and not lose heart. God's delays are not denials. He sees the end from the beginning and answers according to His wisdom and love.
Prayer changes circumstances at times, but it always changes the person who prays. As we spend time with God, our faith grows stronger, our hearts become more humble, and our desires become more aligned with His will.
Make prayer a priority today. Speak honestly with God. Thank Him for His blessings, confess your sins, and bring your needs before Him. The more you commune with Him, the more you will grow in grace.
How can I make prayer a more consistent part of my daily life?
Father, teach me to pray without ceasing. Help me to seek You first in every circumstance and to trust Your answers. Draw me closer to You each day. Amen.
June 6
"If ye love me, keep my commandments." - John 14:15
True obedience is the fruit of love. Many people view God's commandments as restrictions, but Scripture presents them as expressions of His wisdom and goodness. The Lord does not ask for obedience to burden His children but to protect and bless them.
Jesus did not say, "If you fear Me, keep My commandments," but "If ye love me." Genuine obedience flows from a heart that appreciates Christ's sacrifice and desires to please Him. Love transforms duty into delight.
As we grow in grace, we learn that obedience is not merely avoiding wrong actions. It involves surrendering our will to God and choosing His way above our own. Sometimes obedience requires sacrifice, patience, or courage. Yet every act of obedience strengthens our faith and deepens our relationship with Christ.
The enemy seeks to separate faith from obedience, but the Bible joins them together. Saving faith leads to willing submission to God's Word. The more we know Christ, the more we desire to follow Him.
Today, ask God to reveal any area where you have resisted His will. Through His grace, choose obedience. Every step taken in harmony with God's Word is a step toward spiritual maturity.
Is there an area of my life where God is calling me to greater obedience?
Lord, help me to obey You from a heart of love. Give me strength to follow Your will and trust Your wisdom in all things. Amen.
June 7
"Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves." - Philippians 2:3
Humility is essential to spiritual growth. Pride was the first sin in heaven and remains one of the greatest obstacles to a close walk with God. The proud heart seeks recognition, praise, and self-exaltation, while the humble heart seeks to glorify Christ.
Jesus, though equal with the Father, humbled Himself and took upon Himself the form of a servant. His life demonstrates that true greatness is found in selfless service. The closer we come to Christ, the more clearly we see our dependence upon Him.
Humility does not mean thinking less of others or denying our God-given abilities. Rather, it means recognizing that every good thing comes from God. It is a willingness to place His will above our own and to serve others without seeking applause.
God can teach and guide a humble person because such a person is willing to listen. Pride closes the heart to correction, but humility opens the door to growth.
Today, look for opportunities to serve others quietly and faithfully. Ask God to remove pride from your heart and replace it with the meekness of Christ. The path of humility is the path of spiritual strength.
Do I seek God's approval more than the approval of others?
Father, help me walk in humility. Remove pride from my heart and teach me to serve others as Jesus served. Amen.
June 8
"But without faith it is impossible to please him..." - Hebrews 11:6
Faith is the hand that reaches out and takes hold of God's promises. It is not blind belief or wishful thinking. Biblical faith rests upon the character and Word of God. We trust Him because He has proven Himself faithful.
Every step of the Christian journey requires faith. We are saved by faith, justified by faith, and called to live by faith. When circumstances appear discouraging, faith reminds us that God's promises remain true. When answers seem delayed, faith continues to trust.
Faith grows through exercise. Just as muscles become stronger through use, faith becomes stronger through experience. Every trial provides an opportunity to trust God more fully. Every answered prayer becomes another testimony of His faithfulness.
The heroes of Hebrews 11 were ordinary people who believed God's promises. They did not always understand His plans, but they chose to trust Him. Their faith enabled them to persevere through difficulties and accomplish His purposes.
Today, choose faith over fear. Trust God's promises even if you cannot yet see the outcome. The God who guided His people in the past will guide you as well.
What promise of God do I need to trust more fully today?
Lord, increase my faith. Help me trust Your promises and rely upon Your wisdom even when I cannot see the way ahead. Amen.
June 9
"Tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope." - Romans 5:3-4
Patience is one of the most valuable Christian virtues, yet it is often developed through experiences we would rather avoid. God uses difficulties, delays, and disappointments to teach us how to trust Him more completely.
In a world that values speed and instant results, patience can seem old-fashioned. Yet God's work in the soul often unfolds gradually. Character is not formed overnight. The fruits of the Spirit require time to mature.
When we face trials, we may be tempted to become frustrated or discouraged. However, Scripture teaches that tribulation can produce patience when we submit ourselves to God's purpose. As we learn to wait upon Him, we gain experience in His faithfulness. That experience strengthens our hope for the future.
Patience does not mean passively doing nothing. It means faithfully continuing to trust and obey God while waiting for His timing. It is confidence that He is working even when we cannot see immediate results.
If you are waiting for an answer to prayer or enduring a difficult season, remember that God has not forgotten you. He is teaching lessons that will prepare you for greater usefulness and deeper trust.
Am I willing to trust God's timing rather than demand my own?
Father, teach me patience. Help me trust Your timing and remain faithful while waiting for Your purposes to unfold. Amen.
June 10
"This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh." - Galatians 5:16
The Christian life is not merely a matter of avoiding sin; it is a daily walk with the Holy Spirit. God has not left His people to fight spiritual battles in their own strength. Through His Spirit, He provides power to overcome temptation and live according to His will.
The flesh and the Spirit are in conflict. The natural heart tends toward self-centeredness and sin, while the Spirit leads us toward holiness and obedience. Victory comes not by focusing constantly on the flesh but by yielding ourselves to the Spirit's guidance.
Walking in the Spirit involves daily surrender. It means beginning each day with prayer, seeking God's direction, and responding to His convictions. As we submit to His leading, He produces His fruit in our lives—love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance.
Spiritual growth is not achieved through human determination alone. It is the result of cooperation between divine power and human choice. God supplies the strength; we choose to follow.
Today, invite the Holy Spirit to take control of your thoughts, words, and actions. As you walk with Him, you will find strength for every challenge and grace for every need.
Am I allowing the Holy Spirit to guide my decisions each day?
Holy Father, fill me with Your Spirit. Help me walk in obedience and depend upon Your strength rather than my own. Amen.
June 11
"But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ." - 1 Corinthians 15:57
Every Christian faces battles. Temptations arise, trials come unexpectedly, and the enemy seeks to discourage God's people. Yet Scripture does not leave us in despair. It points us to Christ, the source of every victory.
Victory over sin is not achieved through human effort alone. Many have tried to overcome in their own strength and have discovered their weakness. The Christian life was never meant to be lived apart from Christ. He alone can give power to overcome sinful habits, selfish desires, and discouragement.
When Jesus died upon the cross and rose from the grave, He secured victory over sin, death, and Satan. Through faith in Him, that victory becomes available to every believer. We are not fighting for victory but from victory. Christ has already won the battle.
This does not mean we will never face struggles. Rather, it means that no temptation is stronger than the grace of God. When we fall, we may rise again through repentance and faith. When we are weak, Christ remains strong.
Today, do not focus on your failures. Focus on your Saviour. The same Lord who conquered the grave is able to help you overcome every obstacle that stands in your path.
Am I relying upon Christ's strength or my own efforts to gain victory?
Lord Jesus, thank You for the victory You have provided. Help me trust Your power and walk in obedience today. Amen.
June 12
"But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." - Matthew 6:33
Notice that Christ did not say to seek God's kingdom occasionally or whenever convenient. He said to seek it first. The Lord desires first place in our thoughts, affections, plans, and decisions.
Many people worry about the future. They wonder whether their needs will be met and whether circumstances will work out. Jesus addressed those concerns by reminding His followers that their heavenly Father knows what they need. When God becomes our first priority, we can trust Him to care for the rest.
Seeking God's kingdom involves more than attending church or reading Scripture. It means making God's will the governing principle of life. It means asking, "What would bring glory to God?" before making decisions.
As we place Christ first, other matters begin to find their proper place. Our perspective changes. We learn to value eternal treasures above temporary possessions.
Today, examine your priorities. Is Christ truly first? If not, ask Him to reorder your heart and help you seek His kingdom above all else.
What occupies my thoughts more than Christ and His kingdom?
Father, help me place Your kingdom first in every area of my life. Teach me to trust Your care and seek Your righteousness above all else. Amen.
June 13
"For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." - Mark 10:45
The world often measures greatness by status, wealth, or influence. Jesus measured greatness differently. He taught that true greatness is found in serving others.
Christ Himself is our example. Though He was the Creator of heaven and earth, He humbled Himself and became a servant. He healed the sick, comforted the sorrowing, fed the hungry, and ultimately gave His life for the salvation of mankind.
As we grow in grace, we become less focused on ourselves and more concerned about the needs of others. Service helps us develop Christlike character. It teaches humility, patience, kindness, and compassion.
Not every act of service is public or dramatic. Some of the most valuable ministry takes place quietly. A word of encouragement, a visit to someone who is lonely, a helping hand, or a prayer offered on behalf of another can make a lasting difference.
God has given every believer opportunities to serve. We need not wait for perfect circumstances. We can begin where we are with the resources He has already provided.
Today, ask God to show you someone you can bless. As you serve others in love, you will discover that the servant often receives as much blessing as those being served.
How can I reflect Christ's spirit of service today?
Lord, give me a heart willing to serve. Help me see the needs of others and follow the example of Jesus in selfless ministry. Amen.
June 14
"For I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content." - Philippians 4:11
Contentment is one of the rarest treasures in our world. Many people spend their lives pursuing more possessions, greater success, or different circumstances, believing these things will finally satisfy them. Yet true contentment cannot be found in earthly things.
The apostle Paul learned contentment under circumstances that most people would consider difficult. He experienced hardship, imprisonment, hunger, and persecution. Yet he discovered that contentment comes from trusting God rather than depending upon circumstances.
Contentment does not mean a lack of ambition or a refusal to improve one's situation. Rather, it means resting in God's providence while faithfully fulfilling present responsibilities. It is confidence that God knows what is best and provides what is needed.
Discontent often arises when we compare ourselves with others. We focus on what we lack rather than on the blessings God has already given. Gratitude is one of the greatest remedies for discontentment.
Today, take time to thank God for His blessings. Reflect on His faithfulness throughout your life. The more we appreciate what God has done, the less we are troubled by what we do not have.
Am I thankful for God's present blessings, or am I focused on what I lack?
Father, teach me contentment. Help me trust Your provision and cultivate a thankful spirit in every circumstance. Amen.
June 15
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven." - Ecclesiastes 3:1
One of the hardest lessons to learn is trusting God's timing. We often want immediate answers, quick solutions, and rapid progress. Yet God frequently works according to a timetable different from our own.
Throughout Scripture, we find examples of individuals who had to wait. Abraham waited for the promised son. Joseph endured years of hardship before seeing God's purpose fulfilled. David was anointed king long before he sat upon the throne.
Waiting can be difficult because it tests our faith. During seasons of delay, we may wonder whether God has forgotten us. Yet God's delays are often part of His preparation. He uses waiting periods to develop patience, deepen trust, and shape character.
God sees the entire picture while we see only a small portion. What appears to be a delay may actually be protection or preparation for something greater than we can presently understand.
If you are waiting for guidance, healing, provision, or an answer to prayer, remember that God is still at work. His timing is perfect even when it does not align with our expectations.
Am I willing to trust God's timing even when I do not understand it?
Lord, help me be patient while waiting for Your answers. Strengthen my faith and teach me to trust Your perfect timing. Amen.
June 16
"Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." - Philippians 4:8
The battle for spiritual growth is often won or lost in the mind. Our thoughts influence our attitudes, words, actions, and ultimately our character. This is why Scripture places great emphasis upon what we choose to think about.
The world constantly seeks to fill our minds with fear, impurity, anger, and distraction. If we are not careful, these influences can weaken our spiritual life and hinder our growth in grace.
Paul provides a divine standard for our thinking. We are to focus on things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. This does not mean ignoring reality or pretending difficulties do not exist. Rather, it means viewing life through the lens of God's truth.
The mind cannot remain empty. If we do not intentionally fill it with good things, harmful influences will readily take their place. Bible study, prayer, spiritual music, and meditation upon God's promises help guard the heart and mind.
As we direct our thoughts toward heavenly things, the Holy Spirit transforms our character. What occupies the mind eventually shapes the life.
Today, take inventory of your thoughts. Ask God to help you reject anything that does not honor Him and to fill your mind with His truth.
What kinds of thoughts occupy my mind most frequently?
Father, guard my mind and help me think upon things that are pleasing to You. Fill my heart with Your truth and transform my character through Your Spirit. Amen.
June 17
"And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." - Ephesians 4:32
Forgiveness is one of the clearest evidences of God's grace working in the heart. It is not always easy to forgive. When we have been hurt, misunderstood, betrayed, or treated unfairly, our natural tendency is to hold on to resentment. Yet Christ calls His followers to a higher standard.
The foundation of Christian forgiveness is found in God's forgiveness toward us. Every believer has received mercy that could never be earned. Through Christ, our sins have been pardoned, our guilt removed, and our relationship with God restored. When we remember how much we have been forgiven, it becomes easier to extend forgiveness to others.
Forgiveness does not mean pretending that wrong never occurred. Nor does it always remove the consequences of sinful actions. Rather, it means surrendering bitterness and leaving justice in God's hands. Unforgiveness harms the one who holds it. It steals peace, hinders spiritual growth, and clouds our relationship with God. Forgiveness, by contrast, brings freedom and healing.
Today, if there is someone you have struggled to forgive, bring that burden to the Lord. Ask Him to give you the same spirit of mercy that He has shown toward you. His grace is sufficient for even the deepest wounds.
Is there anyone I need to forgive in order to experience greater peace and spiritual growth?
Father, thank You for forgiving my sins through Christ. Help me extend that same forgiveness to others and remove all bitterness from my heart. Amen.
June 18
"For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps." - 1 Peter 2:21
The Christian life is not simply about believing certain truths; it is about following a Person. Jesus Christ is our example in every aspect of life. His words, actions, attitudes, and responses reveal what God desires His children to become.
When we study the life of Christ, we see humility in place of pride, patience in place of anger, and self-sacrificing love in place of selfishness. Though surrounded by opposition, He remained faithful to His mission. Though misunderstood and rejected, He continued to show compassion.
Following Christ requires more than admiration. It requires imitation. We are called to walk as He walked, love as He loved, and obey as He obeyed. This cannot be accomplished through human effort alone. It is the result of Christ dwelling within us through His Spirit.
Every day presents opportunities to follow His example. When faced with irritation, we can choose patience. When confronted with temptation, we can choose obedience. When others are in need, we can choose compassion.
The more time we spend with Christ through prayer and Scripture, the more His character becomes reflected in our lives. Growth in grace is ultimately growth into the likeness of Jesus.
What aspect of Christ's character do I most need to reflect today?
Lord Jesus, help me follow Your example in every area of my life. Shape my character so that others may see You in me. Amen.
June 19
"And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness." - 2 Corinthians 12:9
Many people view weakness as something to hide or overcome through sheer determination. Yet God often uses our weaknesses to teach us dependence upon Him. The apostle Paul learned this lesson through personal experience. When he pleaded for the removal of his trial, God responded by promising sufficient grace.
Human nature prefers self-sufficiency. We like to feel capable and in control. However, spiritual growth occurs when we recognize our need of divine help. Our weakness becomes an opportunity for God's strength to be revealed.
This does not mean that weakness itself is desirable. Rather, it means that God can work through our limitations, failures, and struggles. When we acknowledge our inability and trust His power, He accomplishes what we could never achieve on our own.
Some believers become discouraged because they feel inadequate. They compare themselves with others and focus on what they lack. Yet God is not looking for self-confidence; He is looking for faith. He delights in using humble people who depend upon Him.
Whatever challenge you face today, remember that God's grace is sufficient. His strength has not diminished, and His promises remain sure. Trust Him to provide exactly what you need.
Am I relying more on my own strength or on God's grace?
Father, teach me to depend upon Your strength rather than my own. Thank You that Your grace is sufficient for every need. Amen.
June 20
"And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." - Galatians 6:9
Perseverance is essential in the Christian life. There are times when doing what is right seems difficult, and the results of our efforts may not be immediately visible. During such seasons, discouragement can easily take root.
God's Word encourages us not to grow weary in doing good. Every act of faithfulness matters, even when it appears unnoticed. The prayers you offer, the kindness you show, the truths you share, and the sacrifices you make for Christ are not forgotten by heaven.
Farmers understand the principle of perseverance. They plant seeds and patiently wait for the harvest. They do not dig up the seed every day to see if it is growing. In the same way, spiritual growth often takes place beneath the surface. God's work may be invisible for a time, but it is still progressing.
The enemy wants believers to quit. He whispers that their efforts are useless and their prayers ineffective. Yet God promises a harvest in due season for those who remain faithful.
Today, continue doing what God has called you to do. Keep praying, serving, witnessing, and trusting. The harvest may not come when you expect it, but God never fails to fulfill His promises.
Am I remaining faithful even when I cannot yet see the results?
Lord, help me persevere in doing good. Strengthen me when I grow weary and remind me that You are working even when I cannot see it. Amen.
June 21
"And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity." - 1 Corinthians 13:13
Love is the crowning grace of the Christian character. While knowledge, talents, and accomplishments have value, none of them can take the place of genuine Christian love. Love reflects the very character of God, for "God is love."
The love described in Scripture is more than an emotion. It is a principle that seeks the good of others. It is patient when provoked, kind when mistreated, and willing to sacrifice for the benefit of another. Such love is not natural to the human heart. It is produced by the Holy Spirit.
As we grow in grace, love should become increasingly evident in our lives. Love changes the way we speak, the way we think, and the way we treat people. It enables us to forgive, serve, and bear with the weaknesses of others.
The world is filled with selfishness, but Christians are called to reveal a different spirit. When people see genuine Christlike love, they receive a glimpse of the kingdom of God.
Ask the Lord today to increase your love for Him and for those around you. The more closely we abide in Christ, the more His love flows through us to others.
Does my treatment of others reflect the love of Christ?
Father, fill my heart with Your love. Help me to treat others with kindness, patience, and compassion as Jesus does. Amen.
June 22
"The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding." Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the Lord is often misunderstood. It does not mean living in terror of God. Rather, it refers to reverence, respect, and a deep recognition of His holiness and authority. It is an attitude that honors God above all else.
Wisdom begins when we acknowledge who God is and who we are in relation to Him. A person may possess great knowledge yet lack true wisdom if he ignores God's counsel. Genuine wisdom flows from a heart that submits to the Lord.
Throughout Scripture, those who feared God were guided, protected, and blessed. They recognized that God's ways are higher than human reasoning. Their reverence for Him influenced their decisions, priorities, and conduct.
In a world that often minimizes God's authority, believers are called to maintain a holy respect for His Word. The fear of the Lord leads us away from sin and toward obedience. It produces humility, gratitude, and trust.
As you seek to grow in grace, ask God to deepen your appreciation for His holiness and majesty. A clearer view of God will transform the way you live and worship.
Do my choices reflect reverence for God's authority and His Word?
Lord, help me walk in the fear of the Lord. Give me wisdom to follow Your ways and a deeper appreciation for Your holiness. Amen.
